AMiable Solution #276: Rainy Day Marketing

Does your market see your company the way you do? You’ve stared at your logo and read your marketing collateral so many times that you think everyone must know about your company by now, right? What if they don’t? What if they see things that aren’t there or don’t see things that are? First impressions are hard to change. See why you should give your company a fresh-eyed glance

With all the rain we’ve had and all the rain yet to come, keeping your spirits up, even if you’re already largely confined to an indoor work environment, can be challenging. Who doesn’t like to look outside and see a bright, clear day? Who hasn’t taken a walk around the block or hopped across the road to pick up lunch just to get a chance to grab a few breaths of fresh air?

So what happens when your mood is as dark as the clouds above? You need a few rainy day marketing activities.

These easy to do, time friendly activities can help you feel productive and could give you the little boost you need to get you through to the next sunny day.

1. Create a one-page sheet of testimonials and client feedback you’ve received lately so that you can easily hand the information to potential customers or access it quickly when you need it for campaigns. If you haven’t collected any lately, take a few minutes to call or email your favorite customers and ask them for feedback that you can use publically.

2. Hit the overage stacks. Identifying marketing materials that can be remailed for a quick, low-cost campaign can make just about any marketer feel good, and tossing out-of-date or no-longer-relevant materials in the recycling bin can leave the spring cleaners among us darn near jolly.

3. Visit your social media sites as a customer. Come on, we know you like to check Facebook in your spare time or when you need a time filler. Indulge in your interest by looking at your social media sites from the perspective of your clients.
